another blah day...

So today was seriously a blah day. I was woken by the joyeous shouts of small children...betweeen 5:30 and 6 am....I was super duper tired still. No bueno. But then I got up, went to work.....didn't workout again :(  Seriously....it was a lazy sort of day. BUT I shall kick things into gear, I promise!

OK, foods time


3 pancakes....prolly not the best, but mom made them and I wanted them...they looked SOOOO good!

More greek yogurt with jam, raspberry this time...not as good as huckleberry, but still better than plain. And a pb&j

the smallest piece of chocolate cake I think I've ever had...it was super tiny, but by savoring each bite it made me appreciate it more;D of course I would've felt less guilty if I worked out...buuuut yeah, I didn't so small guilt :(

Dinner for me! Yay...nachos...just beans, cheese, and salsa


Yeah...sorry for the blah-ness, but...it's all I got. Can't beat myself up too terribly for it because then I'll be demotivated...NO. BUENO. But I'm gonna go hard core again tomorrow...sans workout.

Ok, I'm SUPER tired (it's 12:15 am)...I didn't workout. I've been reading Harry Potter and my shoulders HATED me today...seriously hurt to shrug *OUCHIE!!!* So, here's the pics and then I'm going to bed! Sorry it's a boring post...



Look who found apple juice hidden in the basement? THIS GIRL! Viva le jamba juice shake!!!! Although I didn't blend this one enough...it was kind of ucky :(

Lunch: open face blt...extra bacon no mayo *gross* and hot chocolate cuz my house was FREEZING!

Dinner: the rest of the soup I had yesterday and some plain greek yogurt (looked at the nutrition facts...DUDE one cup has 23 grams of protein! O_o) but it's SUPER disgusting plain...kind of tastes like sour cream, which I'm not a huge fan of....so I added huckleberry (I'll be your huckleberry) jam to it...yummers! and then I discoverd a package of red vines on the desk at work...so I allowed meself one.
Ok, that's about it. Now it's off to bed, off to bed.

Oh, ps. my family's coming in town!!! Yay!

Apparently it's national chocolate day...

SO! It's national chocolate day...as I found out right after I did my morning workout. My first thought? Dang! I should've waited to bake my chocolate madness from yesterday! But oh well....my cousin discovered that I had an extra chocolate cake mix this fine evening so I made it for him...and slathered it with chocolate frosting even though he didn't want chocolate frosting, because it's national chocolate day...chocolate cake+chocolate frosting=appropriate way to celebrate. And did I cave?...sort of. I licked the spatula after frosting the cake. No cake for me though! *yay me!*

So I decided to challenge meself with my workout and do Jillian level 2-my toe is still annoyingly in pain so I'm still doing the whole "working-out-at-home-where-I-can-do-so-barefoot" plan...seems to be working out well for me:D But yeah, level 2=DEATH!!!!!! Normally in level one I don't need to pause to catch my breath or anything....the last minute of abs for me was more like...20-30 seconds. And I had already paused to catch my breath like 8 times during the workout...no longer than 5 seconds each time but still....my shoulders are gonna HATE me tomorrow, I can tell. But good news! I found apple juice in the basement so I can go back to having my shakes for breakfast! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!! And on that note: photo time



Pre workout snack. Confession: yeah, there's no need for me to not have a pre workout snack anymore...no nausea!


Breakfast of cracked wheat, honey dried cherries, and LOTS of walnuts:D

Lunch....probably the most unhealthy lunch I've had since starting this thing....but I kind of didn't want to make anything big....so I caved and did the easy way out....

Afternoon snack. Multi-grain toast with butter and homemade yellow raspberry jam...mmmmmMMMMMM!

Dinner. I really wanted soup and was happy to discover that we had progressive soup downstairs that was only 80 calories a serving! YAY! But it had mushrooms in it *barf* so I had to remove the evil fungi. And then I had another toasted 3 cheese sammich...same as the other day's lunch. And some chocolate milk. I did add a little bit more syrup this time because last time it was seriously kind of gross ...which is no bueno since whenever I eat toasted cheese I kind of HAVE to have chocolate milk. It reminds me of my childhood:D


Also, I had to do some MASSIVE room cleaning to day since one of my sisters is coming to town tomorrow with my nieces (husband to join on...Monday I think) and they're using my room. So I did work up a small sweat doing that as well. I really need to work on working out twice a day though...hmmm....must. find. motivation...

ps? I would just like to happily state that Harry Potter comes out in a week. I shall be attending the midnight showing...AND I'M FLIPPIN STOKED!!!!!!!!!!! To celebrate? I'm rereading the books:D *meep* yeah, I'm a total hp nerd. Don't judge me!

day 6...lots of baking done today!

So I had this urge to bake stuff...and yes I did do some grazing, but I posted a picture of about how much I grazed...it wasn't too bad actually. I think that was because today was the hottest it's been since summer FINALLY started...like a week ago. So I wasn't all that hungry (that's rather typical for me) so I didn't do as much grazing as I usually would've. but anywhooo here's the pics (and one of the stuff that I baked! :D)


Breakfast...leftover goulash! mmmm it's seriously SO. GOOD!

Lunch, similar to yesterday...I had my salad with the 2 boiled eggs(one yolk) but I took the cheese and turned it into a toasted 3 cheese sandwich! :D It has .5 oz of cream cheese with onion salt, garlic salt, parsley, and oregano mixed into it and a slice of swiss and a slice of cheddar. And then I had some chocolate milk. But I had to use syrup since we were out of the powder...which I don't really like, but I put such a small amount in it that you could hardly taste the chocolate...it was almost gross actually :( But my salad and sammmawich were super yummers! :D

Dinner...I honestly didn't want to eat, but I was hungry. I was SOOOO close to just having a bowl of cereal, but I opted for a pb&j sandwich...VERY heavy on the pb...like the jelly was almost an after taste....just how I like it:D

Ok, so this is what I made today. We've got: rocky road cake mix cookies (probably THE highest calorie cookie I've ever made) and brownies with caramel and walnuts on top....these are probably the messiest desserts I make. The cookies look so ugly cuz the marshmallows stick to the pan and the spatula when you're trying to get them from the pan to the cooling rack....which is where I did my grazing. Every now and then a chunk would stay on the spatula so I'd peel it off and eat it. I didn't eat a single brownie though and they were by far the most tempting. *small victory dance*

When you add all the grazing together this is about the amount it came to be...no I did not eat this chunk of cookie, I was just re-enacting the photo so I would feel validated...

So, workout today....I did it super late! I did it at like...3:30 in the afternoon, which is really shocking for me cuz I'm NEVER motivated to workout in the afternoon. But hey! I still did it, and I got one of my sisters to do Jillian Michael's with me! My toe is still kind of hurting so I wanted to do something at home so I could workout barefoot...and I can do Jillian barefoot quite comfortably. So we did level one again and then we watched level two because I'm pretty sure I'm ready for the next challenge....and man it looks HARD! So I was super tired after this workout...don't really know why, and then my sister was like "can you even DO that?" after watching bits of level 2 so of course I had to prove it to her...yeah, I'ma be sore tomorrow...

OH! One other thing...I'm also trying to take vitamins every day, and I've got to say I love me some gummy vitamins! Mostly because I love fruit snacks and I don't really want to eat those so I award myself with two gummy vites each morning :D You've got to appreciate the small victories otherwise you'll bring yourself down...which isn't a good thing.

Since my toe is feeling a bit better I think I'm going to go run on the elipticals tomorrow...and then I've got to clean my room since another sister is coming into town Friday and she'll be using my room....

aaaah! let's play catch up!

SORRY!!!! I wasn't at a computer long enough to upload my pictures for Sunday and Monday! So! Let's do that now, shall we?

ooookay. So, Sunday was Fast Sunday (for all you non-LDSers out there that means that we don't eat for two consecutive meals...on the physical note of Fast Sunday) so I just had dinner...which was a potluck at church....Italian themed. ALL CARBS ALL THE TIME! I was actually really excited to see a salad and some chicken cooked into a dish! Yay, something non carby!!!

Yeah...mostly pasta, there's even some mac n' chese under the fettucini....BUT! I usually split like...a plate of varioius desserts with my sister at these events and I proudly limited myself to ONE biscotti :D *small victory dance*

....and then we went to a friends house and made fresh strawberry pie....and man was it gooooood!






Alright, so that was Sunday the 3rd-obviously I didn't workout that day so..yeah.
Ok, 4th of July....I failed at the workout portion :( I was tired. I did however run around work like a chicken with its head cut off and worked up a good sweat so at least a few calories were burned! But, let's take a look at the food..... :S


Breakfast....we ran out of apple juice so I couldn't make my smoothie!!!! I was super sad, but this is a bowl of granola...in the smallest cereal bowl we have. I think it holds 2 cups? I'm not sure though, but it was a smaller portion than normal

I was running late for work, but thankfully mom had brought home some pre-packed lunches from the hospital...yay mom! This is roast beast (:D) on whole wheat with apple sauce and 2 snickerdoodles...pretty yummy!

Dinner part one. Hey, it was a bbq on Independence day, how could I only do a part one of dinner?! So we have whole wheat hamburger bun, burger with pepper jack chease and some super delish southwest spicy mustard! Oh, and watermelon....mmmmmmmmm :D

Dinner part 2. Can you tell I love watermelon? There's also some grapes on there and a dollop each of macaroni salad and potatoe salad. Tip! If you want some sort of salad that you KNOW is loaded with calories, load your plate first with lower caloie foods like fruit or veggies so you don't have as much room on your plate for the not so good for you stuffs :D...AND EAT SLOW! Seriously, don't even get another bite of food on your fork (or spoon) until the bite in your mouth is COMPLETELY chewed and swallowed. It also helps if you have people to talk to whilst eating...just don't talk with your mouth full cuz that's just plain old gross...

 

Dessert....I caved. I had a root beer float. Note: that is the 4th time this entire year that I've had soda! Yay me:D



OK, confession time....I did also do some grazing...and didn't take pictures :( I don't count vegetable grazing since that's pretty much no calories, but I had about a handful of chips...and a few (like 5 or 6) 2 bite pieces of this suuuuuper yummy pastry thing throughout the rest of the night. And I didn't workout yesterday! BAD SHERRE! BAD! But besides that I think I did pretty ok. And, can't go back to change the past right? We just have to keep moving forward.


OOOOOk, so that brings us to today! The 5th of July. So I got up at 5:15 to do my workout-I did workout level 1 on Jillian Michael's 30 day shred...love it cuz it's a grand burn in only 20 minutes, and the reason I did that is because some friends and my sister and I went out to breakfast at The Old European Breakfast House...sooooooooo gooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!! so my breakfast today is brought to you in 3 parts :)












Ok, so for some odd reason it wasn't letting me add captions to my photos for today...so I'll just explain them down here. The first 3 photos are breakfast. Plate one: Ableskiever (the round ball) 1/2 a small pancake, 1/4 potatoe pancake, and 1/4 strawberry crepe...mmmmm *happy tummy* Plate 2: 1 pancake (they're SO. GOOD!) and a bit over 1/4 of a strawberry whipped cream stuffed french toast....of which I took the end and I'm fairly certain I didn't get any of the "stuffing"...just fruit and whipped cream....which is ok by me. It was fantastic! Photo 3: traditional Hungarian goulash! SOOOOOOOOO stinking good! There's some leftover in my fridge as we speak...it may re-appear as breakfast tomorrow...not gonna lie. I LOVE that stuff. So yes, I did have 3 plates of breakfast...but note: in plates one and three the picture is mostly plate! *small victory*
Lunch was a salad with two boiled eggs (one yolk) and some cheese and a little bit of this spaghetti pasta thingy that was eaten cold...and was suprisingly really good cold!
The last two photos are my dinner pt. 1 and pt. 2....I really wasn't hungry, but I love me some ritz crackers and cheese and then the last one is a salsa dish ( like the size of the kind you get at Chili's...pretty sure that's where it came from in fact) of potatoe salad. It was like 2 heaping spoonfulls of that spoon you see.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAnd my intention today was to workout twice since that's one of my monthly workout goals and I was feeling guilty for not working out yesterday....but all that changed when I got to work. Why you ask? Well, I guess I felt the need to kick some hardware at work and decided to rip off part of my toenail....seriously, I have a blood stain from my toe stepping on my flip flop. Those are my favorite pair too! Now they've been melted and bled on! They're good shoes! Good thing blood doesn't bug me. But the reason I didn't workout again? My toe has been THROBBING off and on all day....just trying to put a SOCK on hurted a lot... :( no bueno, so I didn't workout a second time. But I shall do my darndest to achieve that goal.

Day 2

Whew! So I just got home from work and it was CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY busy!!!! *yawn* super tired. And it's only 9:30....I feel like an old lady!

Anywho, so my workout this morning (since my workout partner decided to ditch me and go fishing with my dad...whatevs :P) I ran for 45 mins...pretty much rocked out to Shakira the whole time. And judging by the music, I'm kind of glad my Spanish sucks...cuz I'm pretty sure it's AAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL too dirty for propriety...but I can't understand it so it doesn't really bug me :D Oh, and I also did a few bicep curls and whatnot-I'm trying to strengthen the veins in my arms so that when I go and do plasma they can actually FIND a vein to stab :D OOOOOO and I forgot to mention my 3 month workout goal yesterday: I want to do at least ONE pull up...never been able to do one, and I have typical sissy girl arms soooo...yeah. It's kind of pathetic to watch me attempt actually. If you've seen Cool Runnings picture Sanka doing his pullups....yeah, that's about what I look like :D

Ok, ok, ok...food time.


Pre-workout snack...I'm gettin pretty good at eating something before working out! The main reason I didn't before is because when I would I'd tend to get rather nauseous :( No bueno

Breakfast of Jamaba Juice smoothie spiked with protein shake mix...told you you'd be seeing lots of this soon. I LOVE it! It's SOOOOO GOOD! and rather low on calories too! The shake (pre powder) is only 110! :D

Lunch...wasn't super hungry and still in a breakfast mood. So a made a breakfast burrito! Onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, 3 eggs (only one yolk) and a sprinkling of cheese mmmmm...yum! I love breakfast foods...I could seriously eat it for every meal!

Dinner. Open faced ham and swiss. No mayo, just some mustard and some almonds...I forgot to count though. Oh, and in case you were wondering I generally only drink water in the day...unless it's a random glass of juice or milk.

Yeah, I went and got some self-serve frozen yogurt...remember how I told you it was CRAZY at work? I wanted some fro-yo! But don't worry, that cup is about 70% fruit. Its just under the yogurt, you pretty much see all of the yogurt I had in the cup. Plus I did put like...5 or 6 animal cookies and a little scoop full of twix crumbles.


So there was my day...and now I think I'm for bedfordshire. Good thing tomorrow's Sunday! Just church and relaxation for me! :D I love Sundays....favorite day of the week. By a LOT! Peace out all!

Day one


  

oooooh....LOTS of pictures today! No, not because I ate a lot, but because it's the first of the month, sillies! Ok, so here's how this is all going to run down (in case you don't remember from the last post). I'm going to post pictures of what I eat everyday, and also on the first of the month I will post pictures of the scale and also two views of yours truly! One frontal, one profile....hopefully we'll see some shrinkage as the months go by!
I also decided on a random rule today: If I don't have my camera on me and I want to eat something...I can't eat it, because I can't take a picture of it! I almsot freaked out at dinner at work because I couldn't find my camera after I decided on that rule o_O

So let the pictures begin!

Starting weight...

pre workout snack. I don't usually eat before I work out, since it's so early in the morning when I go...but I hear that's not such a good idea, so I'm gonna try and eat something before I workout.
Mmmmm, breakfast! We found at Costco they have Jamba Juice smoothie packets...(EPIC WIN!) this is Strawberries Wild....spiked with some protein powder...which changed the flavor a little bit...but it wasn't too weird of a change to make me not eat it again...be prepared to see lots of these shakes in the future. I LOVE me some Jamba!
Morning snack...20 almonds (plus lots o' water)
Lunch. I cooked a chicken breast and then made it into a quesadilla (with salsa on top:D) and then I just ate the rest of the chicken that didn't fit on the tortilla
Afternoon snack...pretty self explanitory...
Dinner. Another chicken breast on some lettuce with grated carrots and cherry tomatoes. Kind of boring, but I was kind of in a hurry to throw something together before I went to work...







Ok, also what I'm going to post on here each month (and every 3 months) are my short-term goals. So...I'm over 200 *barf* but, it's ok...that's all gonna change. The reason I'm making my goals only 3 months in advanced is because it makes them smaller and more manageable (I think I spelled that right). SO! 3 month goal...be under 200. I don't care if the scale reads 199.9 on October 1, I just want it to start with a 1, dangit!
So there's the 3 month plan. And to break that down even further....I'm making my monthly weight loss goal to be between 8 and 9 pounds. I also have workout goals for the month: I want to workout 6 days a week, working up to doing weight-lifting 3 times a week and cardio every day! So that's that! Enjoy all!

OH! One other thing I plan to post on here every day is tell ya'll what I did for my daily workout! So today I did a weight lifting circut and then rode my bike with my sister for 2.5 miles...and my bum kind of hurts, not gonna lie. It's been a while since I've been on a bike for any length of time.
